Danielle Smith Joins Bank of Stanly's Norwood Team

June 18th 2004 - Norwood, NC - Danielle Smith, a Stanly County
native, has joined Bank of Stanly’s Norwood Office
as Vice President and Account Executive. Bill Lawhon, President
and Chief Executive Officer of Bank
of Stanly commented, “Danielle is a great addition
to our Norwood team. Our customers in southern Stanly County
will be served well. Her enthusiasm toward customer service
is exceptional.”
She began her banking career in 1995 with
Central Carolina Bank, serving in numerous positions in Stanly,
Anson, and Union counties. Before joining Bank of Stanly,
she most recently served as Branch Manager of Central Carolina
Bank’s Norwood Office. She has completed various American
Institute of Banking courses in Consumer and Commercial Lending
and completed Real Estate Appraisal training at Mitchell
Community College.
With Bank of Stanly, Danielle is currently
in the process of obtaining various investment licenses and
has recently completed her North Carolina Life, Accident
and Health insurance license.
She and her husband Jerry T. Smith, II,
have just finished renovating a home in Norwood, where they
live with their three children Katelyn, age 11, Maggie 3
1/2, and Thomas, 2. Originally from the New London area and
a graduate of North Stanly High School, she also attended
Pfeiffer University. Danielle commented, “I always
loved Stanly County, but when I first came to Norwood, I
knew I wanted to live here. Within days, I had been invited
to join numerous organizations and churches, and I really
felt the warmth of the community. I’m very excited
to be a member of the Bank of Stanly team and to have the
opportunity to serve the folks of my community.” Danielle
is the daughter of Roger Chandler, of New London, and the
late Janice Chandler.
Danielle is an active participant in the
Norwood Lions Club and the Norwood Business Association,
and is a member of Centerview Baptist Church in Albemarle.
In her free time, Danielle enjoys camping with her family
and inlaws, Jerry and Frances Smith of Albemarle.
