Board Member Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Bank & Trust Board member L. Allen Dobson Jr. M.D.
received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the North Carolina
Academy of Family Physicians, during the organization's annual
meeting held recently in Asheville. The award is bestowed
on individual physicians who demonstrate and pursue a life-long
commitment to the specialty of family medicine.
Dr. Dobson is president and CEO of Cabarrus
Family Medicine, a multi clinic family medicine and primary
care group he founded in 1993. "His demonstrated leadership,
innovation and passion on behalf of family medicine and healthcare
in general affirms him as a most deserving recipient of this
special honor," said Dari Caldwell, PhD and CEO of NorthEast
Medical Center.
Long active in organized medicine, Dr. Dobson
was recognized for his unwavering commitment and passion
for the specialty and his tireless work with the NC Medicaid
program of which many patients rely. NCAFP President, DR.
Conrad L. Flick, cited Dr. Dobson's work as the ultimate
example of community involvement and service as a physician.
Dr. Dobson, a member of the Cabarrus Bank & Trust
Board of Directors has served, on the board, since the banks
inception in April 2003. One of 33 dedicated area residents
and local business people, these incorporators felt the community
was best served by a financial services company that is focused
on Cabarrus County. Keeping local dollars local while helping
