2006 March Of Dimes - Walk America

Saturday May 13th 2006 - Albemarle, NC - The March of Dimes “Walk America” Campaign drew a crowd of over 300 with local teams walking several laps of a designated route around the city of Albemarle.

Last year, more than 24,000 teams, across America, participated in Walk America, rising money to help prevent birth defects, a leading cause of newborn deaths and many lifelong disabilities.

Bank of Stanly and Strategic Investment Group raised over $1,000 with participation from associates, customers and corporate donations. "Thank you to all who helped sponsor the campaign and thank you to everyone who worked hard to coordinate fund-raising efforts. Your time, money and efforts will go a long way towards helping improve the lives of children born prematurely" said David Gaskin, Senior Financial Consultant with Strategic Investment Group.
