Special Blessings During Christmas Season

Tuesday, January 10th 2006 - Albemarle, NC - Christmas is a season well noted for giving unselfishly to meet the needs of others. Uwharrie Capital Corp was thankful for the opportunity to work with the Anson, Cabarrus and Stanly County school systems to identify families in true need of assistance. Experiencing the true meaning of the holiday season through fulfilling the wishes of disadvantaged boys and girls throughout the counties. Additionally the gift-giving program served several families that were dealing with catastrophic medical conditions and other single parent families struggling to meet daily challenges and demands.

While not expecting or looking for recognition, Uwharrie Capital Corp received many notes of thanks from each school system and pencil and crayon thank you notes from grateful children.

In keeping with the Vision and Mission of Making a Difference, associates contribute their time and talents in support of a variety of volunteer groups and charities. They also hold leadership positions in many community and educational organizations.
