Anson County Schools Receive Educator's Gift

Monday, April 3rd 2006 - Wadesboro, NC - Several schools in Anson County received a donation from Anson Bank & Trust during the month of March. The donation was made possible by the educators taking part. This program empowers the educators of the Anson County school system to have a donation given back to their schools. The premise is simple, for every Educator’s Gift checking account that is opened, Anson Bank & Trust will donate $12 per year to the school of the account holders choice. If every educator in Anson County signed up for the program, our contribution could add up to $10,000 or more given back to the schools on an annual basis!

“This is truly a win-win situation for the school system and us,” Dana Maness, Vice President of Anson Bank & Trust. “With the educators keeping their deposits with us we can continue supporting our community. There is always a limited supply of money for the teaching needs of each school, so this is one way that each educator can assist their school. This is important because it demonstrates how each one of us can help mold our future quality of life by participating in a program that gives back to our future…our children.”
