Supporting Local School and Doughnuts For Dads
Friday March 17th 2006 - Albemarle,
NC - Several Bank
of Stanly associates
assisted Central Elementary School in Albemarle with the “Doughnuts
for Dads” festivities. This event encourages community
involvement by inviting student’s fathers or other
men who have positively influenced them to visit one morning
for doughnuts and orange juice.

Principal Pokie Noland commented on how
Bank of Stanly and its associates can be called on whenever
there is a need at Central Elementary either with education
related materials or in the classroom.
“We would like to thank the faculty
of Central Elementary School for giving us the opportunity
to spend time with the students,” comments Eddie Wall,
an Account Executive with Bank of Stanly. “It is exciting
to visit with the students, and with the help of the many
additional volunteers, provide these children with positive
role models in our community. We are looking forward to spending
additional time with students as these types of opportunities
present themselves.”

Capital Corp provides 24 hours per year for all
associates to volunteer during the workday in a variety of
education and reading-mentoring programs. They are encouraged
to use this time to assist our local schools with events,
field trips, tutoring, and other school-sponsored events.
By working together, we can continue to
enhance the well being of the counties we serve and make
a difference in our community.
