The new brick and stucco exterior will feature a corner lobby entrance flanked by pairs of columns. Interior renovations will include an expansion of the loan processing and corporate offices.
"The renovations of our headquarters provides us with good visibility in our market and offers our customers greater accessibility to a comfortable environment where their banking needs can be met," says Pat Horton, Cabarrus Bank & Trust president.
The traditional design reinforces the bank's solid presence in the community, says Barbara Walker, principal at BJW Architecture Inc., which is designing the renovations. The project is also intended to give the company a more consistent look among its offices and bank branches.
"More and more, companies are realizing that architectural design is yet another way to communicate their brand to the markets they serve," Walker says. The renovations will be made in phases so bank operations won't be interrupted. Ike's Construction Inc. of Concord is general contractor for the project.
Cabarrus Bank & Trust, part of the Uwharrie Capital Corp family, is a community-owned and operated bank created for the people and by the people of Cabarrus County. The Bank focuses solely on the financial needs of local citizens and businesses.
